Cebu’s power players and rising Titans Blake Go: reinventing retail for the masses

In Cebu, where business and community life go hand in hand, Blake Nelson Go is carrying forward a family legacy while shaping a new future. As the next-generation leader of Prince Warehouse Club, Blake honors the vision of his father, who built the company from humble beginnings into a trusted name among Filipino households.

Growing up, Blake saw how his father focused on serving communities in the C, D, and E markets—families who needed affordable household goods close to home. “That became the DNA of Prince—serving people where they are,” Blake shares. He remembers customers traveling long distances just to buy basic needs. Today, he wants to bring stores even closer to underserved areas, helping families save both time and money.

From his father, Blake learned three important values: putting customers first, staying strong during hard times, and being grateful. These principles helped Prince survive natural disasters and the pandemic. Blake believes their success comes from God, loyal customers, supportive partners, and hardworking employees.

At the same time, Blake is introducing fresh ideas. He believes there is always a better way to serve people. Under his leadership, Prince is embracing digital tools and artificial intelligence to improve operations and customer service. The company has also partnered with BPI for agency banking services and with ACMobility to install EV charging stations—steps that make daily life more convenient for customers.

Beyond retail, Prince supports sari-sari store owners, joins medical missions with local governments, and hires local talent. For Blake, business is not just about selling products. It is about creating opportunities and improving lives.

By blending tradition with innovation, Blake Go is ensuring that Prince continues to grow while staying true to its mission of serving the masses. /JOB
