Chase Cokaliong: Building his own legacy

Many people see Chase Cokaliong as the heir to Cokaliong Shipping, the company founded by his father, Chester Cokaliong, the same year Chase was born. He even jokes that the company is his “twin.” But beyond the well-known family name, Chase has worked hard to build his own path as a hands-on executive and entrepreneur.

Despite what people may see on social media, his daily life is far from glamorous. Chase often starts his day at the pier before sunrise and spends long hours at the office, sometimes even on holidays. He says discipline was taught to him early. As a young boy, his grandmother required him to work in the family’s textile business to earn extra money. At the time, he did not appreciate it, but now he says those lessons shaped his work ethic.

Today, Chase serves as Vice-President for Operations and HR of the family’s shipping company. At the same time, he manages several other businesses. These include CrossFit Subtero, StorageTown self-storage facilities, Nest Workspaces for young professionals, Omerta Bespoke for custom suits, and Royal Movement, a retailer of premium watches and accessories.

For Chase, business is about solving problems. Many of his ideas came from noticing gaps in the market and finding ways to meet people’s needs. He believes in working with experts and surrounding himself with people who know more than he does. Continuous learning, he says, is key to staying relevant.

Behind his busy schedule is a strong motivation: his wife, Tritzie, and their children, Cali and Cade. For Chase, success is not just about growth—it is about building a future for his family while creating his own legacy.
