For Mr. Adie Gallares, managing director of Duros Hotels, this philosophy shapes every decision he makes. With 28 years of experience in the industry, Gallares believes that strong leadership is about serving people, not controlling them. For Gallares, leadership is about responsibility rather than authority.
He said, “Every choice we make should answer one question: How does this serve our guests, our team, and our stakeholders better?” His approach is rooted in faith-driven values and a commitment to purposeful service, which he has applied in guiding Duros Hotels since its founding in 2022.
He manages two properties under Duros Hotels: One Tectona Hotel in northern Cebu and Cebu Quincentennial Hotel in the city.
Gallares noted that one of the most challenging aspects of his journey with Duros Hotels was leading the properties during the pandemic. However, he highlighted that it was also fulfilling.
